Shanghai dogs enjoy Lunar New Year feast  2025 might be the year of the snake, but for Shanghai’s pampered pooches it’s always their time to shine.  Pet owners treated their furry friends to a special Lunar New Year meal on Saturday, January 25, organized to resemble the annual reunion feast that traditionally takes place on the eve of the Lunar New Year holiday.  The meal is customary for many Chinese-speaking communities around the world and is set to take place on Tuesday, January 28, this year. For the pet-friendly version, 11 dogs munched on shredded chicken and lettuce, with some wearing traditional garments to add to the festivities.
