00:00So a Birmingham UFO group actually got started in 2007. It was started by a couple of gents

00:05from Quinton. The inception of the group came about because they believed the Birmingham

00:11area was a large enough city to warrant its own UFO specific organisation. So they put

00:18together BUFOG or Birmingham UFO group as it's called.

00:21Behind the doors of this unassuming snooker hall lies a hub for exploring the mysteries

00:26of the skies. Recent years have seen a surge in UFO related discussions, spurred on by

00:32high profile disclosures from the US government. The topic has reignited public curiosity,

00:39but has this wave of intrigue sparked more interest locally?

00:43Yeah, I think it's definitely in the public eye lately with what's been going on since

00:482017 in the States. There's been less talk about it here in the UK. The Ministry of Defence

00:54are pretty close lipped about the whole situation. But it's obviously got people thinking more

00:59about the subject. And in terms of the meetings, people tend to come and go over the years.

01:04But I have noticed in recent years, there's been quite a few new faces in the crowd. So

01:09there's a definite interest growing in the subject.

01:12Birmingham itself has a fascinating history of UFO sightings from strange lights over

01:18the city to unexplained objects spotted in the skies. Reports have been documented for

01:23decades. Whether it's a keen eye for the unusual or genuine phenomena, these local stories

01:35Well, I've dealt with literally hundreds of UFO cases from around the Birmingham area

01:40and wider Midlands. I do investigate worldwide. But obviously, if I was to give all that information

01:46to a newspaper or something, I could make it look like Birmingham was the world's biggest

01:50UFO hotspot.

01:53Birmingham's UFO community continues to thrive, offering a welcoming space for enthusiasts

01:58to share ideas, theories and experiences. Groups like this provide an outlet for those

02:03captivated by the unknown, fostering discussions that extend beyond just sightings. Whether

02:10a seasoned believer or simply curious, it's clear that this local group has built a passionate

02:17I think, like me, many people have a genuine fascination with unsolved mysteries. The world's

02:24a vast and fascinating place. And I think as time goes on, people are more and more

02:30accustomed to the idea that mainstream science has not discovered everything and there are

02:35things going on on the planet that have not yet been fully explored. There's also a big

02:40crossover with UFOs and other areas such as the paranormal or psychic phenomena. There's

02:45all sorts of crossovers between those. It's this very, very complex puzzle that we're

02:49trying to unravel. But I think if anybody looks into the subject with an open mind,

02:55open intelligent mind, they won't fail to be impressed with the details on record.
