00:00It's been more than 200 years of education here in Llanbed,

00:05but for how long will these people be here?

00:08That's the question.

00:09After the Welsh Government decided to move all of their Israeli students

00:14to the office of the Minister of Education.

00:16You went out to the Senate in Cardiff, their message was clear.

00:19There's something special and unique about Llanbed.

00:22And in my opinion, and among other people here today,

00:27you can recreate the whole of Llanbed

00:30and move it all into another town.

00:33It's also a social issue.

00:35It's a community issue.

00:37And I think that if the campus in Llanbed was for any purpose

00:42and Israeli students came up here,

00:46it would lead to a loss of income for the town.

00:50The town has depended on the college for 200 years.

00:55Following a massive protest last month in Llanbed,

00:59members have now come to the Senate to do their part.

01:03Their hope is that if the college doesn't agree,

01:07they'll have a Senate member.

01:09Members across the country and across the country

01:12have called on the college to work.

01:15Once you've got the campus, it's gone.

01:18The whole history and ethos and opportunities in the future

01:24have been lost.

01:25So we're asking the government to do something.

01:28There's an election coming up in a year.

01:31Maybe there'll be a change of policy.

01:33We'll then be changing the political framework

01:36for all the universities.

01:38The university has said that the future of Llanbed Campus

01:41is of great importance to them.

01:43And that they continue to discuss with other institutions

01:46to try and ensure a prosperous future and a sustainable economy.

01:50The Welsh Government is also keeping an eye on the situation.

01:53That's what could be the worst year in Llanbed for some of these members.
