After TikTok faced a temporary ban in the US, we ask Birmingham locals if the UK should consider a similar ban. Are concerns about its links to the Chinese government justified?

00:22us very much harm to really have a ban, but I think we have become too dependent on social

00:27media nowadays. I don't think a lot of people would be able to function properly without

00:31it. I think it's really, really tricky because there are so many arguments for TikTok providing

00:36great representation for people and access to knowledge and information that people wouldn't

00:41otherwise be able to access. I definitely would because I work with child mental health

00:46services and I think that the damage that it does a lot of the time, I think it does

00:50more damage than good. So yeah, I probably would personally. And I agree.
