00:00In accordance with the Directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,
00:04the Department of Budget and Management Secretary, Amina Pangandaman,
00:09approved the release of P30.409 billion pesos in the fund
00:12to support the regular pension of military and uniformed personnel or MUP
00:18for the first quarter of 2025.
00:21According to Secretary Pangandaman,
00:23the fund will be taken from the Pension and Gratuity Fund
00:28under Republic Act No. 12116 or the Fiscal Year 2025 General Appropriations Act.
00:36Meanwhile, P16.752 billion pesos will be allocated
00:41to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office
00:46while P13.297 billion pesos will be allocated to the agencies of the DILG
00:53such as the Philippine National Police.
00:57P8.530 billion pesos will also be allocated to the pensioners
01:03of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.
01:06P350.68 billion pesos will be allocated to the retired personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard.
01:13The fund is based on the current pension or pension payroll
01:17that was approved by the mentioned agencies on December 31, 2024.
