00:05said that a lot of people support and a lot of people are alarmed by, and this may be

00:20and gender into every aspect of public and private life.

00:26It will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there

00:31are only two genders, male and female.

00:50I think this is one of the more moments that has gotten a lot of attention.

00:56I have to say, even if this is your position, it's an unnecessary shot at people who struggle

01:01with gender identity.

01:02It's one thing for the position of the United States to be a no discrimination against people

01:07who identify in a particular way.

01:09But to just say the policy of the United States is there are two genders really sort of dismisses

01:13the experience of a lot of people.

01:14I didn't understand why he did it or why he needed to do it.

01:17No, I agree with you.

01:18I mean, it just seemed unnecessary to me.

01:20And look, this is an issue.

01:23I mean, it, it is.

01:25It was a big issue in the election though.

01:26It does impact the federal government.

01:28But you know, one of the things that Donald Trump talked about a lot was take things and

01:33leave them to the state.

01:35The federal government shouldn't be involved.

01:37And you know, look, there is an issue of gender in the military.

01:42It just is an issue.

01:44And maybe that's an issue for him in terms of that narrow lane.

01:49But this is a bigger issue for the various states where they're dealing with this now.

01:55And people are talking about this more.

01:58And I was surprised that became part of the.

02:02The one thing I would say is, and you remember that, that Kamala Charlemagne, the God add

02:08I'm not so sure that a lot of Americans don't agree with what Donald Trump said.

02:12Donald Trump emphasizes being a united person, but his policy positions raise concerns, especially

02:19for people who identify as transgender and non-binary.

02:23He claims to be a person of faith, yet he stood before the audience and talked in a

02:28tone that was to some condescending and divisive.

02:32This concerns me because I worry how he is going to treat marginalized people, including

02:38children.

02:39Is he going to bring us together or is he going to divide us even more?

02:42I think that's the issue.
