00:00Crime incidents in Metro Manila decreased by 23.73 percent from November 23, 2024

00:07to January 15, 2025, according to the National Capital Region Police Office, or NCRPO.

00:14In a report from Philippine News Agency, Acting NCRPO Chief Brigadier General Anthony Aberin

00:21attributed this drop to increased police presence, strategic deployment during major events,

00:28and community engagements. During the same period, the NCRPO arrested 2,166 wanted individuals,

00:37apprehended 349,465 violators of local ordinances, and seized 153.29 million pesos worth of illegal

00:48drugs. The NCRPO is committed to intensifying efforts against crime and illegal activities

00:56this year.
