00:00And at this point, we will discuss the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Go.
00:27First of all, my fellow countrymen, the administration will give President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. a sufficient fund to the National Irrigation Administration or NIA
00:37so that it can support the irrigation programs in the country.
00:40At the request of President Marcos, Jr., this Wednesday,
00:44he also gave the need to build large dams not only for irrigation but also for other needs.
00:53Included in NIA's projects this year are the Pump Irrigation Subprogram,
00:59Stage 2 of the Ilocos Norte Ilocos Subabra Irrigation Project,
01:03Balog-Balog Multi-Purpose Project Phase 2,
01:07and Special Irrigation Subprogram.
01:09I hope that the administration can build dams like the one in La Mesa Dam here in Quezon City
01:16where the water continues to be stored whenever there is a strong rain.
01:21Through the construction of more water reservoirs and water impounding areas,
01:26the heavy rain will continue, just like the provinces in Central Luzon.
01:31The Presidential Communications Office said that under the 2025 programs, activities, and projects of NIA,
01:38it will allocate Php 20.84 billion for the Pump Irrigation Subprogram
01:44and Php 7.88 billion for the Stage 2 of the Ilocos Norte Ilocos Subabra Irrigation Project.
