00:07In El Ata, Autocross unites drivers in a thrilling test of skill and speed.

00:14Autocross is a very technical sport.

00:19The race course is only revealed on the day of the competition,

00:23making it a real challenge to memorise the track and execute it flawlessly.

00:28Exactly, as we'd have learned.

00:34Today, more and more people are getting interested in this sport,

00:38which is evident from the growing number of participants.

00:41My name is Afnan Merghulani, I'm a Swedish racer driver.

00:44He's my coach and my competitor now.

00:48This is a very accessible sport.

00:51You can start with an everyday car.

00:54It gives you time to gain experience and familiarise yourself with the races

00:58and how they're organised.

01:00From there you can progress to higher level competitions,

01:02whether Autocross, Time Attack, GT races or even F1.

01:13Today I'm driving this Subaru BRZ.

01:17Its horsepower is relatively low,

01:20which means I've made a few modifications to boost the engine

01:23and improve the stability of the chassis.

01:33It's an adrenaline rush.

01:35I'm so excited, that's normal.

01:37These races teach us how to balance excitement and focus.

01:43In this sport, teamwork and solidarity are key.

01:47I remember one competitor who took off his own tyre and lent it to me

01:51so I could finish my race properly.

01:54That's exactly why I love Autocross.
