00:00If you have a cat and you have the laptop on your desk, the cat will coolly come and

00:06just sit on your laptop rather than your lap.

00:08And the cat is sitting right on the laptop without ever wondering what that thing is

00:14all about.

00:15That's the animal.

00:16The animal does not even want to understand.

00:18It does not have great curiosity.

00:21Even if it has curiosity, its curiosity is limited to food and sex, etc.

00:25If the cat is able to sniff a mouse, then the cat will be curious, but the cat does

00:29not want to know what's there in the galaxy, where do we come from, what's the purpose

00:33of life, how does the laptop work, what's going on, on the frontiers of physics.

00:38All those things the cat has no interest in.

00:40As human beings, we must be greatly interested in these questions.

00:43Otherwise, we are just cats and dogs.

00:46To be human is to know that the essence of humanity is consciousness.

00:52And consciousness inquires because consciousness wants to realize.

00:57Realization cannot happen without inquiry, questioning.
