00:00Hi, I'm Steve Zahn.
00:09I play solo and this is my pad.
00:13Check out my IT.
00:17Tim's going to be so jealous.
00:20This is boring.
00:23Welcome to the brain of solo.
00:26These are all the periods of his life.
00:27That's how I think about it.
00:29It was like a period of studying sculptures, or African art, or evolution, or music, or
00:38flying, flight.
00:41Origami was probably a year and a half of his life.
00:45And then he wanted to learn the trombone.
00:48Now I'm going to master the guitar.
00:50I'm going to paint.
00:52I'm going to study this crazy thing called sports.
00:56I think he creates all this art.
01:01I broke this.
01:03Broke the tail off it.
01:04I volunteered to glue it back on, but they have people that can do that.
01:12This room's cool.
01:14This room's great.
01:15This room's interesting.
01:16Now, when you walk through that door, into that room.
01:24First time I walked in here, I was actually moved.
01:26All right.
01:27Check this out.
01:36It kind of makes you want to whisper.
01:38It's like walking into a cathedral.
01:41It's amazing.
01:43I came in this room in July, and I was just throwing stuff out.
01:47I was like paper airplanes, puppets.
01:50He's desperate for people to be around.
01:53So he creates these puppets.
01:54But it was just quick stuff.
01:56And then I got here.
01:57Puppet show, man.
02:00He puts on a show.
02:03He's like a Renaissance man.
02:05But he doesn't know what's fiction.
02:06He doesn't know what's real.
02:08It's ungrounded knowledge.
02:10If I was this guy, I would just be immersed in this stuff.
02:15It's like being locked in a toy store.
02:20That I love.
02:22I love that it's like art that was hung here.
02:25But now he's going on and just painting over it.
02:32I mean, think about it.
02:33If you had that much time on your hands,
02:35if you were by yourself,
02:37you need the knowledge to keep yourself going
02:39so you can do your job.
02:41I think music is probably the most important thing to solo.
02:47Talk about an eclectic taste in music.
02:50From polka to Metallica.
02:56Alright.
02:57Thanks for showing up.
02:59You know the way out.
03:01Good luck getting out.
03:03I will go back to what I usually do.
03:09See ya.
