Big cats neglected by 'UK Tiger King' make Kent their home

A Kent animal park has given a new lease of life to a pair of big cats previously living under the care of a man dubbed the “UK Tiger King”.

00:00The Big Cat Sanctuary in Hertfordshire Zoo are now undertaking our largest ever

00:03rescue and rehoming operation today, here at the Cat Survival Trust, another sanctuary in Welling.

00:09We have to find homes for around 25 cats, ranging from the big ones,

00:14the pumas, all the way to the little ones, the servals.

00:19It feels great trying to come in here to try and help them. Every time when I get someone to say

00:23yeah I can take that cat home, obviously it brings a bit of happiness to me because it's

00:27another one that I'm like okay right we've got somewhere for it to go,

00:31it's got a future to go to. Let's go get some cats a new home.

00:38The situation's super urgent because we have to get every single cat out by the end of Jan,

00:43so yeah time is of the essence.
