00:00President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris engaged in a phone

00:05call to discuss topics that would benefit the two countries.

00:09The phone call, the Presidential Communications Office said, happened around 9.30 in the evening.

00:14It can be recalled the President and the U.S. Vice President met at the sidelines of the

00:18Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, or APEC, conference in November of 2023, where they

00:24tackled the West Philippine issue and the steps being taken by the Philippine government

00:29to help maintain peace in the region.

00:31Vice President Harris commended the Philippines and the U.S.'s lasting and strong relations,

00:36especially in security and the economy, during her courtesy call on the Chief Executive last

00:41November 2022 in Malacanang.
