00:10So that's been one of the biggest ticket points in these negotiations.

00:14Even in negotiations to recover one hostage, there's usually what's called a proof of life

00:20that starts the whole negotiations, because you don't know what you're negotiating for

00:25if the individual is in fact dead.

00:28That hasn't happened in this case, and that's one of the reasons why Israel keeps hemming

00:33when it comes to going into the first phase of this ceasefire agreement, because they

00:39don't know how many are actually alive.

00:41Hamas has been saying they don't know because they would have to be able to freely move

00:46around Gaza to go to these locations to provide this proof of life, and they can't do that

00:52when the fighting's still continuing.
