00:27the majority of Filipinos are in favor of the investigation by the House Quad Committee
00:32into extrajudicial killings, illegal drugs, and shootings based on the Pulse Asia survey
00:37commissioned by the Strut Base Group.
00:40Based on the results, 61% are in favor,
00:43while 24% said they cannot say whether they are in favor or not.
00:4811% said they are not in favor.
00:52The survey was conducted from November 26 to December 3, 2024,
00:57with 2,400 respondents.
01:00Based on the survey, the support in the National Capital Region is strong
01:04while the support in Mindanao is low.
01:07According to the Secretary General of the House,
01:09this shows that the public is really interested
01:12in monitoring what is happening in the hearing of the Quad Committee.
01:16When I talk with my relatives in the U.S.,
01:19they say even some Filipino-Americans are interested in watching the Quad Committee proceedings.
01:28So, I wouldn't be surprised if that is their interest.
01:3661%, that's quite high.
01:39But the Secretary General admitted that it is still possible for the survey to change.
01:44It could change or maybe increase or decrease.
01:49We don't know.
01:51But what it shows only, and I take this as my personal opinion,
01:57what it shows is there's really a genuine interest on the part of the public.
02:06The survey also showed that 27% of Filipinos
02:10are hopeful that the Quad Committee will result in the creation of new laws.
