00:00At this point in our discussion, we have an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.
00:20First up, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed the Implementing Rules and Regulations, or IRR, of the Magna Carta of Filipino Citators.
00:30The IRR was signed by the Department of Migrant Workers, Secretary Hans Tayo Cacda, and Maritime Industry Authority Administrator Sonia Malaluan.
00:39In response to our President's request, the President distributed some of the contents of the IRR.
00:44These include the establishment of one-stop shop centers for seafarers and provisions that ensure fair medical treatment and access to free legal representation.
00:55For women in the maritime industry, the IRR was designed to protect and value them.
01:03The Magna Carta of Filipino Citators assures that the IRR has the right to fight discrimination and threats.
01:11The President added that this is not only an opportunity for the industry to open up,
01:16but also reflects the dedication to a more progressive and fairer approach to the maritime industry.
01:23The President gave the IRR a well-prepared and competitive maritime workforce
01:30by strengthening access to advanced training and requirements in maritime education institutions,
01:36adopting cutting-edge facilities, and equipping seafarers and cadets to complete the goal.
01:42That's our update for this morning.
01:45Stay tuned for our next discussion here on Mr. President on the Go!
