Bristol City target Swansea’s Harry Darling

Bristol City are reportedly targeting Swansea City defender Harry Darling this January. Daniel Wales reports.

00:06the January transfer window. Darling has not missed many matches for Swansea during this

00:11season in one of the best defences in the Championship. They do face stiff competition

00:17from League One outfit Birmingham City though. According to reports from Swansea, negotiations

00:22over a new contract for Darling have broken down within the club, meaning that a transfer

00:27away from South Wales is looking more than likely. However, given that his current contract

00:33is set to expire in the summer, Bristol City may wait until then to make a move if nothing

00:39is possible this month as he would then be allowed to leave on a free upon the expiration

00:43of his contract. With defender Cameron Pring currently out with a hamstring injury though,

00:48Bristol City may want to make the move sooner rather than later to cover the hole left in

00:53Pring's absence with a promotion push perhaps on the cards.
