00:00Could you just explain what decision was made today and the reasonings behind it please?

00:05Yes, so the subcommittee has decided not to grant the licence as applied for.

00:11The reason for this is the history of non-compliance by the directors,

00:17as has the objection put forward by the police,

00:21suggests that this will not improve with a new licence being granted.

00:25We're also concerned about the safety of the building

00:28and that the owner of the building has not taken into regard instructions

00:34by the fire service, police and city council

00:38to look at an extension to the building which is deemed

00:42to not have planning permission to either demolish or seek the correct permission for that.

00:48We have concerns that the operators will not adhere to the conditions on the licence.
