00:00The career of a member of the national team and a multi-medalist of the Southeast Asian Games has come to an end.

00:06After his victory in the Oriental Mindoro, Simon Ong is in the center of the news.

00:14The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro condemned the killing of the Southeast Asian gold medalist, Mervyn Guarte.

00:21Governor Bonce-Dolor promised that the 33-year-old, who is also a member of the Philippine Air Force, will be held accountable for the killing.

00:28The Philippine Sports Commission also condemned the killing of Guarte, a Sea Games multi-medalist.

00:33The PSC called his longtime member, Mindoreno, an athlete.

00:37Mervyn Guarte won two gold medals in 2019 and 2023 Southeast Asian Games for obstacle racing.

00:45On Tuesday morning, an unidentified suspect hit the victim while his friend was sleeping at home in Calapan City.

00:53He was taken to the hospital, but was later killed.

00:56Persons of interest consider the drunkenness of the Filipino athlete, Simon Ong, for Pambansan TV in Bagong, Philippines.
