00:00In other news, a gunman was shot dead after being trapped in a burning house.

00:06When the house caught fire, it became a disaster.

00:09Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu, in the center of the news.

00:16Videos were taken of the people who were inside the burning house

00:21in Barangay Duljo Fatima on Sunday morning.

00:24Witnesses watched the response of the firemen to the trapped residents.

00:30After almost an hour of the firemen fighting in the fire,

00:34a family member discovered that their 13-year-old son was no longer alive.

00:41The missing child was found dead after being left inside the burned house.

00:47The family thought that he jumped to the ground floor.

00:53Unfortunately, he went back to his room.

00:57The house caught fire and he was not able to get out.

01:05Cebu City Fire Station added that although their response was quick,

01:10they had a hard time entering the fire scene because of the narrow path.

01:15We cannot pass through the big fire tracks and we need to connect the hose

01:22so that we can penetrate to the inner or to the interior portion.

01:29Cebu City's LGU responded to the rescue of a minor.

01:36Meanwhile, they were the ones who collected the items that could be used for fire protection.

01:43They asked the LGU to allow their family to rebuild their house.

01:48We are waiting for the fire to be put out so that we can be able to take care of our children.

01:57So that we can be able to take care of our children.

02:00The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire.

02:03The damage caused by the fire is more than P1,000.

02:07It affected 30 families.
