Zendaya and Tom Holland are taking the next step in their relationship ... because they're engaged!!!

00:00To some big news coming out of the Golden Globes,

00:02it has nothing to do with the awards that were handed out,

00:05although the thing on Zendaya's hand

00:08was about the size of an award.

00:10Her engagement ring, which caught everyone's eye

00:15as she was entering the Golden Globes,

00:17but no one knew whether this was just, you know,

00:20sometimes you see celebs wearing things.

00:22You see that a lot.

00:23But this time, it is the real deal.

00:25We broke the story this morning.

00:27They are engaged, got engaged over the holidays.

00:32And this was, the Golden Globes was the big coming out

00:34for the ring anyway.

00:35Tom wasn't there with her at the awards last night.

00:39So interesting that she chose to-

00:40I know, that is interesting.

00:41Have the big showing of the ring,

00:43the big reveal of the ring, but Tom wasn't there.

00:45But we did confirm they are engaged.

00:48Yeah, so I'm being told that he proposed

00:50at one of Zendaya's family's homes in the U.S.,

00:54unclear exactly where, but it was just them two.

00:58It was a very intimate proposal.

00:59It wasn't big, loud, you know, all that kind of stuff.

01:03And, you know, that is like a very big part

01:05of their relationship.

01:06They are a very low-key couple,

01:08despite being like mega stars.

01:11But the key here is that I'm being told

01:14that Tom actually asked Zendaya's dad, Kazembe,

01:18months ago for her hand in marriage.

01:21And that was really important to Tom

01:23to get Kazembe's approval,

01:26which obviously Kazembe did say,

01:28yep, you're good to go kind of thing.

01:31But Tom wanted to wait for the perfect moment.

01:33And kind of like you mentioned, Charles,

01:35this did go down during the holiday break

01:37between Christmas and New Year's

01:40when they were together being romantic.

01:43And, you know, she obviously said yes,

01:45unclear exactly how much that ring cost.

01:47She said, I'm thinking about it,

01:48but I'll hold the ring while I think about it.

01:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:51The other thing is, apparently they're not gonna tie

01:54the knot anytime soon,

01:55because they both got projects,

01:56which frankly, I don't understand.

01:57That it's like, okay, I get it.
