00:16Over two dozen people stood in silence during the final rites on Sunday to mourn the 15-year-old,

00:22later escorting the hearse to her final resting place at the Tianning Columbarium.

00:27Items such as flowers, snacks and teddy bears were placed next to her urn.

00:34Her father said coming home will feel much lonelier with one less person in the house.

00:39Her mother, Tuilian Jiao, could only hope that justice will be served.

00:57Yap's body was found on January 2 in a river in Banting, and a DNA test confirmed it was hers.

01:10She had been missing since December 19, when she left for a lion dance practice in Cheras.

01:15Police linked her death to her 16-year-old boyfriend.

01:18They are investigating if anyone else was involved in disposing of her body in the river.

01:23Three suspects, including the boyfriend,
