00:00Inauguration day is coming up, and while many will be praying for the future of the country
00:04on January 20th, some will be praying with President Trump.
00:08That is, if you've got the money.
00:09That's because according to reports from myriad news outlets, the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee
00:14is offering donor packages to attend the service.
00:17The price tag?
00:18A reported $100,000 donation, or a fundraising effort of $200,000.
00:24The package will include both a ticket to the One America, One Light Sunday service,
00:28as well as the Starlight Ball, among other events on the day.
00:31This is the first presidential inauguration in history to offer a church service tied
00:35to a donation, with critics calling it a pay-to-pray scheme.
00:38Though supporters say that other presidents have offered similar donor packages, including
00:42events with high-profile attendees.
00:44The whole thing has echoes of the God Bless the USA Bible, better known as the Trump Bible,
00:49which the president-elect sold as a fundraising measure during his 2024 campaign.
00:54There are several tiers of tickets related to Trump's inauguration, with some including
00:58an invitation to the swearing-in and presidential parade, as well as the cabinet reception.
01:03However, it will cost you a million dollars if you want to be in DC for all three days
01:07of events, including the vice president's dinner.
