Synopsis : Ce film, Seberg, est inspiré de faits réels tirés de la vie de Jean Seberg (Kristen Stewart), la coqueluche de la Nouvelle Vague et star d'À bout de souffle, qui, à la fin des années 1960, s'est retrouvée la cible du FBI à cause de son soutien au mouvement de défense des droits civiques et de sa liaison avec Hakim Jamal (Anthony Mackie), entre autres. Dans ce thriller aux accents de film noir réalisé par Benedict Andrews, la vie et la carrière de Seberg sont détruites par une surveillance et un harcèlement excessifs, menés, sur les ordres de Hoover, dans le but de discréditer et mettre un terme à son activisme..
