Synopsis : Jimmy Hoffa et Bobby Ciaro attendent dans une voiture un homme qui tarde à venir. Ciaro peut évoquer tout à loisir le souvenir de ses longues années de collaboration avec Hoffa. A leurs débuts, ce dernier n'est encore qu'un syndicaliste enragé, dont la virulence fait perdre à un Ciaro complètement dépassé par les événements son emploi de camionneur. Peu à peu, de combat en combat, les deux hommes parviennent à prendre la tête du puissant syndicat des chauffeurs routiers. Hoffa devient l'une des figures de proue du mouvement ouvrier américain. Pour asseoir ses positions, il a besoin de la mafia et échange nombre de services avec la pègre....
