Yilan County Magistrate Sentenced to 12.5 Years for Corruption

Yilan County Magistrate Lin Zi-miao has been removed from office after a court found her guilty of corruption. She has been sentenced to serve 12.5 years in prison.

00:20The court found Ling guilty of misusing public funds, money laundering, and keeping improper

00:25records of her own income.

00:27Ling maintains that she's innocent.

00:29In the past week, a Taipei City councilor was sentenced, a former vice premier's trial

00:34began, and a former presidential candidate was indicted, all on corruption charges.
