00:00The National Capital Region Police Office, or NCRPO, has issued a strict warning to its personnel not to fire guns this new year.
00:10In a radio interview, NCRPO Chief Police Brigadier Anthony Averin said that it is possible to be removed from service or face criminal and administrative charges
00:22by the police who will prove that they fired a gun.
00:26Again, NCRPO told the public not to fire guns this new year, and instead to use alternative sounds.
00:36Averin also assured that police will be deployed to designated firecracker zones to ensure the proper and safe lighting of the new year.
00:46Meanwhile, the heightened alert status in NCR will remain until the second week of January for the capital of Itin, Nazareno in Quiapo, Manila.
