00:01Benison, Estareja, is a rainy Monday for all of us.

00:06It continues to rain in a large part of the country because of the different weather systems.

00:11The first one is that of the Amihan or Northeast Monsoon in a large part of the Northern and Central Luzon.

00:17The shearline or the line where the Northeast Monsoon and the hot Easter Leaves meet

00:23also rains in some parts of the Central and Southern Luzon.

00:26While in the rest of the country, there is still the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ line

00:33that meets the North, the wind from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres

00:38even though the chance of rain is high especially in the Eastern Visayas and around Sulusi.

00:43But based on our latest satellite animation,

00:46we do not see any low-pressure area or typhoon that can affect our country

00:50until the next days or until the first days of 2025.

00:56Rainfall is expected in a large part of the Luzon due to the effect of the shearline and the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

01:03This includes the mainland of Cagayan, as well as Isabela,

01:06below Aurora, Quezon, especially here in the areas of Laguna and Rizal,

01:12a large part of the Bicol Region, and also here in a large part of Mimaropa.

01:16Rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to be strong

01:20that can cause floods and landslides.

01:22And because the land is saturated,

01:25there is a high chance of landslides in the areas of Quezon and Bicol Region.

01:30Meanwhile, the Amiha or Northeast Monsoon

01:33is still there in the Northern Luzon,

01:35raining on the remaining part of Cagayan Valley,

01:38as well as Cordillera Administrative Region,

01:40light to moderate rains,

01:42while here in the Ilocos Region and the remaining part of Central Luzon,

01:49For Metro Manila, Cavite, and Batangas,

01:52there will be rain as early as this morning until later this afternoon,

01:55but by the afternoon,

01:59and there is a chance of heavy rain or thunderstorms.

02:02In Metro Manila, the temperature is from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius,

02:07while it is still cold here in Baguio City,

02:09from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius.

02:13For our fellowmen here in Palawan,

02:15where the heavy rains are still frequent,

02:17especially in the central and southern portions,

02:20that is the effect of the ITCZ,

05:10up to 100 mm by tomorrow

05:12in Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte,

05:16until the moderate to heavy rains

05:18reach the first day of 2025 in Albay,

05:21just like in Sosogon,

05:23Northern Samar, Eastern Samar,

05:25Leyte, Southern Leyte,

05:27Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.

05:30While the remaining part of our country

05:32here in the rest of Visayas,

05:34Northern portion of Mindanao,

05:36Visayas, and Luzon,

05:38there is a high chance of heavy rainstorms

05:40and thunderstorms.

05:42Be careful of floods and landslides.

05:45For January 2 and 3,

05:47that's Thursday and Friday,

05:49there will still be heavy rainstorms

05:51in some parts of Luzon

05:53because the cloudiness will go up here.

05:55There is the effect of shear line

05:57plus the Northeast monsoon

05:59in the remaining part of Northern Luzon.

06:01We expect for heavy rainstorms and thunderstorms

06:03over most of Ilocos Region,

06:04Sierra Region, Cagayan Valley,
