00:05tightened their cyber patrolling against selling illegal firecrackers online.
00:10A total of 115 online platforms were taken down by the PNP-ACG,
00:15including the 59 Facebook pages, 50 ex-accounts, one website, and one audio streaming app account.
00:22Apart from this, 200 online platforms are under surveillance by the PNP-ACG
00:27In the 8 operations of the PNP-ACG, up to 10 individuals were arrested for violating RA-7183
00:35that regulates the selling, distribution, manufacturing, and usage of firecrackers.
00:41In the meantime, according to Rizal Police Provincial Director Colonel Felipe Maragón,
00:45most of the boga that they confiscated were in the possession of minors.
00:50He also stated that this is due to a trend on social media sites and apps on DIY, or do-it-yourself firecrackers.
00:57According to the Department of Health, or DOH, many of the victims of illegal firecrackers are minors.
