Here's What Customizing a $400,000 Bentley Is Like

Bentley invited us to customize a 2025 Continental GT Speed as part of its bespoke Mulliner process. There are billions of possible exterior and interior combinations

00:00Picture this you're at work. You want to burn a couple of hours and you hop onto the Bentley customization tool

00:05You make yourself a perfect Bentley

00:07Well, you can actually do that in real life if you want with a bespoke design consultant for Mulliner such as Georgia here

00:14Which is exactly what we're gonna do

00:15We're gonna act like we're real Bentley customers and we are going to customize our very own Bentley and see how it goes

00:30Mulliner is the team you call when you want to customize a car from the ground up

00:34But today's visit isn't just for S's and G's Bentley intends to actually build the Continental GT speed

00:40I customized as a media vehicle and send it back here for me to drive

00:44The process you see in this video is as authentic to the buying experience as can be

00:49Only I will not be buying the car at the end unless I like win the lottery or something

00:55Okay. So what's the first step the good question is what your favorite color?

00:59I have been into like plums recently

01:04Okay. Yeah, brilliant

01:06So depending on what kind of purple you would like and have a look at some samples see what you like

01:11Yeah. Yeah. Should we have a look? Yes

01:19This one is tanzanite purple

01:23If we're kind of looking at the trim on the exterior to be black, yeah, yeah, should we go kind of down that route

01:32Can we do the whole wheel black? Of course you can

01:36You can either have steel brakes or you can have carbon ceramic brakes

01:40Steel brakes are a good idea

01:41Steel brakes, perfect

01:43Depending on if you want a more minimal look the Bentley text can be removed

01:48I like the D badge

01:50There is some other elements we can tie in from the exterior

01:53But I'm gonna let you guide me on kind of what colors you'd like to introduce from the interior

01:59And we can always pop back out and kind of elevate the exterior if you want to include any small details

02:23Now that you've done it, I don't love it

02:26Maybe something darker

02:28I wonder if we can do... Oh, tanzanite purple?

02:47I wanted to make the purple work, I think the purple is not currently bending to my will

03:14It became so beachy all of a sudden

03:18What seat leather are we doing?

03:21So the minute we've got saddle and tanzanite purple

03:25Especially when you've got that kind of light golden

03:29Camel's also a nice color

03:34And then I'm gonna rethink the purple in there as well

03:41What would you do as a contrast stitch?

03:46So the stratos, which is kind of a light grey

03:52Yeah, that's better

03:54It's almost like you do this all the time

04:03So these are the little details I was talking about

04:07Where once we know what we're doing in the interior

04:10We can include these kind of accent colors

04:13And have the stalks in black

04:18You can also include a pinstripe on the mirror caps

04:27As you saw, I changed my mind a few times

04:30Because what you think you want might not always work in real life

04:34But I'm happy with the car I designed

04:36And after this session, Bentley sent over some high-res renders

04:39So we can get a better idea of how it would look

04:47As for price, well, all my bespoke options came to $48,345

04:54That, mind you, is on top of the Continental GT Speed's $353,595 MSRP

05:19If you wanted a Bentley and didn't want to just go home

05:32So, this car, I'm told, will be ready in about 6-8 months

05:37I'm hoping not a whole lot will be changed on her
