00:07We are in contact with the new Syrian authorities with the help of our diplomatic mission.

00:16First and foremost, we are talking about practical issues which have to do with the security of Russian citizens

00:24and safe functioning, safe working conditions of our embassy.

00:29We are open for a dialogue to discuss other issues which are on the agenda of our bilateral relations

00:37and the bilateral agenda and the regional agenda as well.

00:44We understand quite well the concerns of the Turkish people when it comes to security at the border with Syria,

00:53where terrorist incidents have occurred repeatedly, and these legitimate interests in security should be respected.

01:07But Syria should preserve its sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity.

01:15And the Turkish government are speaking in favour of this, and we support such an approach.

01:21It is a very important thing to deal with the eastern part of Syria.

01:26The United States illegally occupied some part with the main oil deposits, with the most rich soils.

01:37They all excavate resources and they spend money to support separatist structures that Americans had established on the east of the Syrian state.

01:51It's quite understandable that Mr. Shara and his allies experience great pressure from all parts, from the United States, from Europe.

02:02Everyone is willing to cooperate, not in order to preserve unity of all political forces in Syria,

02:11but to get a bigger part of influence or maybe even territory.

02:20With respect to the Western selfishness, it was quite emblematic when the representative of the diplomacy of the European Union,

02:32she stated that Syria should just stop cooperating with Russia and Estonia.

02:40And a representative from Estonia said that Estonia is not going to support the new authorities in Damascus unless they oust military bases of Russia from Syria.
