00:00It's really nice to celebrate Christmas with and with your family.

00:04But how do our fellow Filipinos celebrate Christmas every Christmas?

00:09Let's find out with Divine Paguntalan of IBC 13 in Balitang Pampansa.

00:18Filipinos are known for their joyous celebrations every Christmas.

00:21It's because they feel the joy of this day when their family is together.

00:27But how do our fellow Filipinos celebrate Christmas

00:30when the whole family is together in Noche Buena,

00:33even though they need to work?

00:35For the past three years,

00:37JP Sireño has been working as a gas station attendant every Christmas.

00:42Even though it's not easy for JP to be away from his wife and children

00:46on special days, especially during Christmas,

00:49he has to sacrifice this for their future.

00:54It's sad, ma'am, because you can't complete Christmas

00:59if you're not with your family.

01:03So, I plan to be patient.

01:08When Noche Buena comes,

01:09they are the only ones working

01:12to provide food to their regular customers.

01:15If they have a day off the next day,

01:18they are the only ones to give back to their family.

01:21So, what is JP's advice to his fellow Filipinos?

01:24It's time for us to give back to our family,

01:27to the food we eat.

01:29Because what we do is for them.

01:32It's not just for ourselves.

01:34The security guard, Wancho Gutierrez Jr.,

01:37is also celebrating,

01:39along with the convenience store clerk, Sheila May Patayan.

01:42According to Wancho,

01:44their boss gives them a little preparation

01:47so that they can still celebrate Christmas

01:51while they are still at work.

01:53He just greets his family

01:55with a telephone call.

01:57While Sheila is on duty,

01:59the clerks assist the customers

02:01who enter the store

02:05can eat in the small meal

02:07prepared by their seniors.

02:34to maintain their livelihood

02:36so that their families

02:38can give them a good life.
