00:32That's why they patiently waited out the salon for their turns.

00:43The owner of Saatchi Beauty Salon in Tondo, Manila admits

00:47still having customers who want the perfect hairstyle in feeling festive.

00:53Even just few hours left before Christmas Eve,

00:56the salon still has customers waiting for their turns for service.

01:10According to a study on Filipino culture and behavior during Christmas,

01:15Filipinos put a premium on clothing and personal grooming.

01:20It's common for Filipinos celebrating Christmas to go to salons and barbershops

01:26for a fresh haircut or grooming making sure they look their best for Christmas.

01:33On the other hand, there are Filipinos who celebrate Christmas this year

01:37with bleeding hearts like Judy Ann and her friends from a manpower agency.

01:44They will be celebrating Christmas at the Quezon City Memorial Circle

01:49because they're away from their families.

01:52They have no choice but to bear their crosses in longing for their families.

02:06Meanwhile, a few hours before Christmas, there are no more passengers at the Manila Port.

02:12It is quiet now and the docks of the shipping companies are also closed.
