00:03We thought we'd talk college football with him as well after the opening rounds of the playoff

00:43I think this is the key for them in the Oregon game

00:45They have to let Will Howard throw the ball down the field and live with the mistakes

00:54Against Tennessee on passes of 20 yards or more, but he also threw one interception

00:59I can live with a mistake or two as long as it's not a game-changer

01:07That was the most complete game. They played I thought it was better than the Indiana game that they beat the Hoosiers in Columbus

01:14They played terrible against Michigan, but this was their best game. Don't you think?

01:19Absolutely, it looked a lot when I went and saw him play, Iowa, honestly, it was kind of tight at halftime

01:25You thought maybe if Tennessee scores coming out of the third quarter that we get a close game

01:32Niko Iamali Ava struggled a little bit to throw the ball down the field, Ohio State's defense looked re-energized. I

01:39Don't know if they can beat Oregon. I

01:41Wouldn't be surprised if they do though and because they know they can play four quarters with these guys

01:47It's gonna be a super fun rematch in the Rose Bowl between two Big Ten teams

01:52Yeah, I still like Oregon. I think they're unstoppable

01:56Offensively, they score on anybody. I don't care who they're playing. They're gonna score

02:00We'll see if Ohio State can go, you know belly-to-belly with them. They ran out of time. They screwed up the first game

02:06I still like Oregon in the rematch

02:09Yeah, and the key will be the lines, you know

02:12Oregon was able to throw the ball down the field against Ohio State in that first matchup

02:16And hey, I hate to keep harping on that

02:17But that's how you beat them show you can get the ball down the field to those receivers

02:22It opens up the running game both their offense and defensive lines are good and Dylan Gabriel played well

02:28So it's gonna be a fun matchup

02:30I think it'll be another shootout probably hits the over that over looks a little low for me early

02:35But the fact that Oregon is an underdog the start like you said in the last segment Dan Lanning's

02:41Absolutely gonna harp on that up until January 1st

02:44So, how'd you think Notre Dame looked and how do you think they're gonna do against, Georgia?

02:51Well again last segment you guys were talking about it. They got to prove they can be to Georgia

02:56They got to prove they have enough on the outside on the perimeter that they can test, Georgia

03:00I know they're gonna be able to run the ball

03:01They looked great on that when you have three running backs not two because Williams they mixed him in there, too

03:07With price with love you have three running backs averaging six yards per carry. Can they get that going against, Georgia?

03:14Who has a nasty front led by Jalen Walker on the other side don't love the Riley Mills injury

03:19That's a big injury for Notre Dame. He was a second-team all-american at Sporting News

03:23He could help them shut down the run

03:25Maybe get after this new quarterback and don't love that Kirby's had all this time to tell those Georgia guys that nobody believes in them

03:32in the Sugar Bowl, so I

03:35Absolutely think Notre Dame can win

03:37But I will probably pick Georgia just based on conditioning experience the fact that they've played all these big games

03:43How do you feel about no quarterback for Georgia? I don't like their quarterback situation

03:49Well, I mean when you lose Carson Beck, there's gonna be a drop-off no question

03:53but I mean

03:54Did you think their offense was non-functional in the SEC?

03:57Championship game when Gunnar Stockton came in if you believe that and and they're gonna be limited what they can do throwing the ball down

04:04The field I think because Carson Beck would push the ball down the field their receivers aren't great. I do love their tight ends

04:10I think Oscar Delp and Lawson lucky will get a lot of work against Notre Dame try to create some mass

04:16mismatches with the linebackers if Trevor ETN does what he did in the SEC championship game though, George will be fine and

04:23Yeah, you know you got a quarterback. I don't like the kid. I saw him play. I didn't like it

04:28I didn't think he did anything and this is gonna be against a Notre Dame defense. That's legit

04:34Mm-hmm. Well, and he can't make those mistakes in the secondary to your point

04:38You can't throw it to Xavier Watts, but do you trust Riley Leonard to throw the ball down the field against this Georgia secondary?

04:44That's the other part of this Notre Dame will have to make some plays in the air as well

04:48Jordan Faison played well against Indiana no matter how I look at it Scott and we can disagree on the pick

04:54I do think it hits the under I think we get a defensive like 21 17

04:5917 14, you know type game in the Sugar Bowl. That's maybe an old-school headbanger

05:05How do you think Penn State will do with Boise is it similar to the SMU game

05:12Kind of if they can but I don't know you can't stop Ashton Gente. So let's not go there

05:18I don't think they're gonna like 18 carries 41 yards Ashton Gente by any means

05:22But they can force Maddox Matt Matson in the third down and long

05:27Penn State's 7 and 0 all-time in the Fiesta Bowl Boise State's 3 and 0 all-time in the Fiesta Bowl

05:32that's kind of a cool stat and

05:34you know Penn State if they're running the football like they did against SMU and

05:38Katron Allen's were averaging six yards Nick Singleton's averaging six yards. It won't matter what drew Allard does

05:44They'll win this game by double digits easily. We can talk all we want about the path that Penn State has

05:51But they've played very well on Saturday, and I think they're gonna play very well here and it's

05:56Ten and a half was it up to 11? I probably still take Boise State to cover

06:01I think they can hang around slow the game down

06:03But there's a long path for the Broncos to win

06:06What about Texas now they face this running game of Arizona State?

06:11They can really bring it up the field running the rock. I think that kid scarab is awesome

06:18Yeah, and this is not a great matchup for them though on paper right because

06:23Texas really good at stopping the run

06:25Texas one of the second best team in the nation in passer efficiency defense Notre Dame's number one

06:31So Sam Levitz who was as hot as any quarterback late this season

06:35It's gonna have to have a huge game against a very good secondary

06:39Texas ran the Rock very well against Clemson had two guys go over a hundred yards

06:43Well over six yards per carry and they're protecting Quinn yours in that way and it's closer to Texas

06:49Honestly, I saw they banned Vivo from the Peach Bowl

06:52I'm a little disappointed in that love seeing him on the sidelines

06:58Yeah, come on man let him on the sideline let's go

07:02Don't know if I love Texas as the favorite to win the national championship

07:06But I definitely could see them getting there with the path they have and if it was Texas in Oregon or it was Texas in

07:13Ohio State

07:14They're not gonna get out athleted there that they have just as much talent as those schools

07:19so today you saw

07:22Texas San Antonio blew out coastal and a Fresno and Northern, Illinois are tied right now at 13s in the fourth quarter

07:29What have you thought of the bowl game so far that aren't in the playoff?

07:34Well, I need Fresno

07:35Fresno State needs to stop throwing the ball and third down right now and just get the first downs because somebody may have taken

07:40The the Bulldogs in this game based on their bowl experience and they need to get that done

07:45But I've enjoyed it, you know guys opt-out guys move on games have been entertaining. I'm doing okay

07:51Against the spread and have hit most of them straight up Bobcats, Ohio Bobcats got their 11th win the other day

07:56You got to enjoy football why we have it because we're gonna be complaining in a month when we don't

08:01So we got South Florida and San Jose State tomorrow. Who do you like in that one?

08:06Give me San Jose State Ken and Neal Maltololo had a really good first year with the Spartans

08:12I think they turn that one out. The Hawaii Bulls always fun. That's my last-minute wrapping presents bowl as I call it

08:18That's what it should be called because that's what I'm gonna be doing when that game's on tomorrow

08:22And then later in the week, you got pits Alito Rutgers K State Arkansas State Bowling Green. It never ends

08:30Hey, you got to enjoy them all and I think pit pit will win that game

08:33Although Toledo might run with them a little bit and then well before you know, it'll be New Year's Eve and we'll have that Fiesta Bowl

08:39So I'm enjoying it
