00:00A few hours before Noche Buena, many of our countrymen went early to La Loma to buy lechon.

00:08But DOH reminds us to be careful with what we eat so we can avoid Holiday Heart Syndrome.

00:25and we can't miss out on one of the Christmas specialties, lechon.

00:31And we're lucky because we were visited by a famous lechon shop here in La Loma, Quezon City.

00:37Their kitchen is where they cook and one by one, they put the lechon or pork in the fire

00:43so that the skin will be more crispy and the meat will be tastier before it reaches your mouth.

00:48And if you're still in a hurry to buy lechon here in La Loma, Quezon City,

00:53the price of lechon ranges from P10,000 to P20,000 depending on the size of the lechon.

01:02From Fairview, Arlene went early to La Loma to buy lechon

01:06that they will serve to their children on Noche Buena.

01:10Her family is already used to eating lechon every Christmas.

02:07Holiday Heart Syndrome is a condition caused by excessive drinking,

02:11stress, lack of rest, and excessive eating of salty and fatty foods that increase blood pressure.

02:18In addition, road and firecracker-related injuries are also targeted,

02:22which are usually monitored during Christmas and New Year.

02:25Meanwhile, in the first instance,

02:28the DOH included private hospitals in the Ligtas Christmas Hospital Preparedness and Response Rounds,

02:34as well as the DOH's Via Healthy and Iwas Papotoka Campaign to avoid road and firecracker-related injuries.

02:43I can really see that we have a lot of cases of heart attack and stroke during Christmas.

02:47That's when we learned about binge eating, binge drinking, and road safety.

02:57Meanwhile, according to the Department of Health,

03:00the number of reported firework-related incidents reached 17 from December 22 to December 23

03:07from the 62 Sentinels Hospitals that are monitored by the government across the country.

03:13That's higher than the six reported last year.

03:16That's why the public is instructed to only go to the designated community firework zones

03:21instead of going to Iwas Papotoka to avoid any disasters.
