00:30make terrible decisions during that time. You may find these scams familiar. The too-good-to-be-true

00:36scam usually is. And the gift card scam. Always purchase yours from behind the counter or online.

00:43The common charity scam, when victims don't know they're actually a victim,

00:48says Amy Nofsiger from the AARP Fraud Watch Network. And the giver in you makes a monetary

00:53donation to a charity in good holiday spirit. Then there's smishing, a combination of SMS and

00:59phishing. This is where scammers take advantage by impersonating package services in order to

01:04get personal or bank details. You better watch out. You better not cry.
