00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. has approved the 2024 National Security Strategy

00:06which aims to address complex security challenges locally and globally.

00:12According to NSS Advisor Eduardo Año,

00:15the 2024 NSS aims to protect the sovereignty of the country in 4 key areas,

00:23such as the security, peace, and unity of our fellow Filipinos.

00:30The NSS is not only about defending the country's borders,

00:34but also about protecting the dreams and aspirations of the Filipino family.

00:40Año is encouraging all Filipinos to actively participate in the collective effort of the Philippines.

00:48This is also accompanied by their advocacy of the whole-of-nation approach

00:52from government agencies, local governments, private sectors,

00:57and local governments for the use of the so-called National Security Goal.
