It was a bad day at the office for the West Indies women who went under to hosts India in the opening ODI by a huge 211 runs.

India made 314 for 9, with Smriti Mandana getting 91, while Zaida James took five wickets.

In reply, the Caribbean team capitulated for 103 in the 27th over, with Renuka Singh grabbing 5 for 29.
