00:00Let's get an update on the situation in the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange of PITX

00:06as passengers continue their journey from their respective provinces.

00:12This is Bernard Ferrer of PTV with the national news live. Bernard?

00:18Passengers who will be returning to the provinces

00:23or who will not return to Metro Manila after the holiday season.

00:31Linda and her family will be returning to Samar after a week in Metro Manila

00:36for Christmas and New Year.

00:39They arrived early at PITX today.

00:42They are trying to avoid traffic since some of our countrymen are already working and going to school.

00:49Is it difficult to get here?

00:51No, it's not. It's just easy.

00:54We came here on the 23rd from Samar.

00:58How is your experience here in Manila?

01:00I'm happy.

01:06For now, the PITX operation is back to normal.

01:11From now until Monday, more passengers will be returning to the provinces

01:17or who will not return to Metro Manila after the holiday season.

01:21Many people are returning to Metro Manila from Bicol Region,

01:24particularly Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte.

01:27There are no long queues in the ticket booths.

01:31The number of provincial and city buses is sufficient.

01:34The security at the terminal is tight to ensure the safety of the public.

01:39Policemen are deployed at PITX

01:41while security personnel are conducting inspections

01:46to ensure the safety of the passengers.

01:51In addition, the PITX information counter is helping the passengers

01:56especially those who need directions or information about their trip.

02:02According to the PITX, there is almost 61,000 foot traffic at the terminal.

02:09Their message to our countrymen is to avoid carrying sharp objects or flammable materials.
