00:18However, opposition parliamentary members described the initiative as inefficient due
00:23to the recent financial cuts for social programs.
00:27On the other hand, economic experts assured that an increase of 2 million dollars in teacher
00:32salaries does not meet the requests of the sector, since the measure will only represent
00:37an increase of 3 dollars and 70 cents per month.
00:40The approval of this amount means more funds for the armed forces and for the official
00:45propaganda of Bukele's government.
