Colleen O'Shaughnessey chats with THR at the 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' premiere and describes how the new character Shadow shakes things up for Sonic. Plus, she describes the love she has received since she played the role of Tails.

00:00How do you describe how Shadow makes an entrance and kind of shakes things up for Team Sonic this time around?

00:05Yeah, you know, he comes in like gangbusters and of course he, you know, sucker punches Tails out of the way,

00:13which is an iconic thing that Shadow loves to beat up on poor little Tails.

00:16But yeah, he really comes in and definitely shakes them up and they have to figure out how to come together as a team and save the day.

00:24As somebody who's been with this character for so long, we're now at the third film.

00:27How have the fans defied your expectations for this trilogy so far?

00:32The fans have been phenomenal. It's overwhelming. I can't believe how supportive they have been.

00:37You know, the internet cannot be a nice place and I have felt only love, truly.

00:44I'm so honored to get to play this character and to have played him for 10 years and the fans still, you know, couldn't be more supportive.

00:52It's really beautiful.

00:54And no one knows Tails' dynamic with the other characters that maybe we haven't met yet more than you.

00:58Is there somebody you would really love to see enter this franchise?

01:02Oh my gosh. Well, so I worked on Sonic Boom for, you know, a good few years and I don't know who's gonna, you know,

01:10if you've watched Sonic Boom, you'll know, but Dave the Intern is my favorite.

01:13I absolutely love Dave the Intern. So I know he's probably was new just to Sonic Boom thing, but cracked me up.

01:20You know what? The deeper cut, the more obscure, the better.

01:23Right. Okay. Dave the Intern.
