00:00President Ferdinand, or Marcos Jr. withdrew funds from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.

00:09Bicam asked for more than Php 70 billion as a subsidy for PhilHealth.

00:14According to President Marcos Jr.,

00:16PhilHealth should have used more than Php 600 billion to provide medical services to Filipinos.

00:26Meanwhile, despite the zero budget in 2025,

00:29PhilHealth assured that it will continue to spend under the Benefit Package.

00:36Out of the Bicam were just the totals.

00:42So the details are not clear yet.

00:46So we are returning to those and all of those elements that are worrisome

00:53are something that we are trying to do.

00:56We are making sure that we are taking the disadvantage.

01:02PhilHealth has a Php 500 billion reserve.

01:06And the cost to provide their services in one year is less than Php 100 billion.

01:16So their budget actually for expenditure is Php 260 billion.

01:21We have Php 100 plus billion.

01:24It has not been used for many years.

01:26In other words, PhilHealth has sufficient budget to do all of the things that they want to do.
