00:00Like Mary Grace Piatos, more than 1,000 individuals listed and received confidential funds from the Office of the Vice President

00:09were found to have no record of birth in the country.

00:13That is based on a letter sent by the Philippine Statistics Authority

00:17from their study of the 1992 House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability

00:27which stated that only those who received funds from the OVP

00:31according to the PSA, two-thirds or more than half of this number

00:36have no record of birth and there are only a few who are partially likely to have birth, marriage, and death records.

00:44According to Good Government Panel Chair Joel Chua,

00:48if the names of confidential funds recipients are not found in the Civil Registry,

00:53there is a high possibility that they are not real people

00:56and the OVP may have just watched their acknowledgment receipts.

01:02What's more important is the question here, where did the money go?

01:07And that is also what the committee is currently investigating.

01:10As for the OVP, the first thing that Vice President Sara Duterte

01:15did was to look at the cameras and determined that this is just political.
