00:00The sector of education is still a priority.

00:03That's what some senators are trying to achieve,

00:05in line with the batikos in their budget for the next year.

00:10That's what Daniel Manalasta guessed.

00:14Senate Committee on Finance Chairperson Senator Grace Poe

00:17defended the budget for the next year,

00:20particularly in education.

00:22According to Poe,

00:23the proposed 2025 budget has gone through a difficult process

00:27and was approved by a majority of members of the Senate and House of Representatives.

00:30Poe argued that the sector of education is still a priority

00:34and added the budget for students and teachers.

00:38DepEd Secretary Sunny Angara

00:41said that despite the promises and good words that were given to them,

00:45DepEd is still in the budget cut for computerization.

00:49But Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri

00:51believes that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. can still do a remedy.

00:56He can say that the President hasn't signed it yet.

00:59So before he receives it,

01:02the President can say that

01:04the President can always address Congress,

01:08the Congressional leaders,

01:09both the Senate President and the Speaker,

01:11that I want a few things further amended in your BICAP.

01:15So please reconstitute the BICAP.

01:17It can be overtime.

01:18For us, the countrymen,

01:20that's the budget.

01:22It's very important.

01:24That's the most important assessment.

01:28PhilHealth was the first to defend

01:30after Dr. Tony Leachon's promises.

01:33And they clarified for the celebration

01:35of their 30th anniversary next year,

01:38the breakdown of expenses that Leachon promised,

01:41something that hasn't been finalized yet.

01:43PhilHealth also assured the public

01:45that they are anchored in transparency

01:47and taking care of the funds of their members.

01:50Senator Aimee Marcos,

01:51said by her brother President Marcos,

01:54that she doesn't want this to be hampered

01:55and she doesn't want the government to suffer.

01:58That's why the voice of the people should be heard.
