00:00The government promised sufficient public transportation this upcoming Christmas.

00:06The Transportation Department announced that from this December 16, Monday,

00:11the number of train trips will be extended until December 23,

00:15along with the expected increase in passengers this holiday season.

00:20However, DOTR explained that this will not be enough for tonight,

00:24so that there will still be sufficient time for the maintenance of the trains.

00:29Meanwhile, the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board

00:34also opened the application for the special permit of public utility vehicles or PUVs

00:40that are effective from December 20, 2024 until January 4, 2025.

00:46The first to be given a special permit are the 5,000 new units of TNVS and public utility buses.
