00:00The Senate has now ratified the Reciprocal Access Agreement between the Philippines and Japan.

00:08In the vote of 19-0, it was approved by the Senators in the third and final reading.

00:13It will further strengthen the cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Japan Self-Defense Forces,

00:21and further deepen the relationship between the Philippines and Japan to ensure peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region.

00:30The Senate passed the military agreement last July by Defense Secretary Gilbert Todoro and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko.
