00:02House Speaker Martin Romualdez helped to form a mega-task force

00:14This was said by the House Speaker after he was appointed to the House Kinta Committee

00:18that there are those who are involved in the price manipulation of rice,

00:22even if there is an oversupply and the price of the rice is being lowered.

00:27He will be able to form the Department of Agriculture,

00:30Department of Justice, National Bureau of Investigation,

00:33Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue,

00:36and Department of Trade and Industry, the so-called task force.

00:39According to Romualdez,

00:41he will be given the power to make an inventory,

00:44to know if these are in accordance with the law,

00:47to collect, to inspect the warehouses,

00:50and to close the temporary businesses.

00:52The House Speaker also asked to submit a monthly report to the Congress,

00:55the task force, as part of their oversight.

00:58According to Speaker Romualdez,

01:00there is a so-called betrayal of public trust

01:02regarding the issue of the Kinta Committee,

01:04so it should be acted on immediately.
