00:00Not only the Philippines has a record of having the longest celebration of Christmas in the whole world,

00:10we can also commit to a world record of the most number of angels

00:19who will try to destroy the town of San Rafael, Bulacan this Sunday.

00:26The people who passed by San Rafael, Bulacan this Saturday

00:32were asked,

00:36Am I already in heaven?

00:39The people they met were white, with halo and anklets.

00:48The people of San Rafael, Bulacan will attempt to break the Guinness World Record

00:54for the largest gathering of people dressed as angels.

00:59The current record holder, Winnipeg, Canada, is planning to make these angels wear angels costumes.

01:04Winnipeg, Canada recorded 1,275 angel costumes in 2015.

01:12For more people to get to know the Angel Festival,

01:15sometimes more than 900 to 1,000 young people dress as angels.

01:19We plan to include this in the Guinness World Record this year.

01:23The people expected to break the Guinness World Record are 2,000 people.

01:28The people of San Rafael can beat the record and get the crown.

01:37The question is, can they become angels and break the Guinness World Record?

02:06The record to beat for this title is 1,275.

02:10According to the Guinness World Record,

02:12in order to include an official member,

02:16they need to wear the angel costume approved by the Guinness World Records.

02:23This is a white robe with a halo and a crown.

02:27They also need to hold props like candles.

02:31For the duration of one minute, they have to keep on wearing those costumes and holding those candles.

02:35If there's more than 10% of disqualifications,

02:38the record itself will be disqualified as well.

02:41And what's funny about wearing 2,000 costumes,

02:47is Johnny.

02:48From morning to night, we wore this because we really want to finish these costumes as soon as possible.

02:56For Johnny to finish each angel costume faster,

03:01there are also angels.

03:03I have an angel that I wear in the morning and also in the night.

03:07Some wear edgings, some wear ribbons, some wear garters,

03:12and some wear a turban.

03:14To make sure that the costumes will fit everyone.

04:28I tried to stand up.

04:30But I couldn't.

04:31He didn't come back until now.

04:32My faith deepened.

04:34St. Raphael is very important to the Ritos.

04:37He is the one who heals.

04:39They believe that he is the one who will give them

04:41a good harvest in Bukirin and Kailugan.

04:45In 2002, the Ritos started a movement

04:49to dress up angels during their Angel Festival.

04:53The Angel Festival started 23 years ago

04:56with the goal of deepening the faith of St. Raphael.

05:09to thank for all the blessings.

05:15this group of young people from Barangay Dilimanuno

05:26for the Last Angel Festival of St. Raphael.

05:31Every morning, we practice with our black links.

05:34This is the first time that we are competing

05:37in the Guinness World Records.

05:38I hope that we will win.

05:41Joseph was chosen to choreograph for the event

05:44as a former pandi in Bulacan.

05:47He then moved to St. Raphael

05:50to teach dance.

05:52I started in 2013.

05:54I started at the house of the pandi.

05:56I spent 2 hours driving to St. Raphael

05:58to teach the Angel Festival.

06:00Over the years,

06:02Joseph got to know St. Raphael Arcangel

06:05until he became a devotee of him.

06:08There was a big change in our life back then.

06:10My mother was pregnant.

06:13But when I moved here,

06:15we had our own family.

06:18I didn't expect to be in this town.

06:22Because life was harder back then.

06:26But here, we had a break.

06:29Because of the guidance of St. Raphael,

06:31their gown and costume rental business flourished.

06:35That's why Joseph was able to build cars,

06:38his own shop, and a house.

06:41Our life changed a lot

06:44because of St. Raphael.

06:46As a way to repay the patron,

06:50Joseph instilled the passion of St. Raphael

06:53in his mind.

06:54Every time I feel like I'm not here anymore,

06:57for example, when we are competing,

06:59St. Raphael is always there.

07:01He doesn't let us down.

07:06But was it worth it?
