Rep. French Hill of Arkansas is set to lead the House Financial Services Committee after gaining the GOP steering panel’s endorsement, pending a full conference vote. Hill is a moderate who has represented Little Rock since 2015 and is currently vice chair of the Financial Services Committee and head of the digital assets subcommittee. Hill will play a key role in advancing President-elect Donald Trump’s financial agenda, including pro-crypto legislation. Hill succeeds outgoing Chair Patrick McHenry, with whom he has collaborated on industry-friendly crypto initiatives.
