00:00This time last year the Welsh Government announced a draft budget that could be summed up simply
00:06by cuts. This year it's all changed though with more money allocated from the UK Government
00:11to Wales, that means there's more money to go around.
00:16Former First Minister Mark Drakeford, who's now the Finance Minister, has announced the
00:19most recent draft budget with increases across the board, and one in particular will be a
00:23welcome move for many, with £600 million uptick for the NHS.
00:29The waiting list crisis has been one of the stories of the Senedd for the last few years,
00:32and First Minister Eluned Morgan is keen to tackle that issue as soon as possible.
00:38Plaid Cymru have said that the draft budget is unambitious, and there will be an anxious
00:42wait for it to be voted through as they don't have a majority in the Senedd.
00:47Labour will therefore need the support of at least one other party to push their budget
00:51through, so we'll need to convince either Plaid, Conservatives or the Solib Dem to back
00:57their plan.
